Bonsucro Global Week 2020
25-27 March 2020 - Mexico
how you can make your business more sustainable
your thoughts on future of sustainability in the sugarcane industry in our consultations and panel discussions
with other industry leaders on sustainable sugarcane
Join us in Mexico
We’re delighted to take our annual event to Mexico this year – and we hope you’ll join us there for an unforgettable time exploring the world of sustainable sugarcane.
2020 is set to be an important year for Bonsucro as many businesses step up their efforts to meet sustainable sourcing commitments, all while sugarcane producers around the world continue to improve their performance. Among other key developments, the latest Chain of Custody Standard will have been launched and we’ll be kicking off the revision of the Production Standard, plus certifications against the new Smallholder Standard will be well underway.
Mexico, as one of the world’s biggest sugarcane producer and exporter of sugar, is an ideal place to explore the sustainability challenges and opportunities in the industry today – and as an exciting, vibrant destination in its own right we are certain that it will provide a superb welcome to all of the Bonsucro. I hope to see you in Guadalajara in March.
Danielle Morley, Bonsucro CEO
What is Bonsucro Global Week?
Bonsucro Global Week is the leading global event for sugarcane sustainability and is the annual flagship event of Bonsucro, the global sugarcane platform. In recent years it has been held in New Orleans, the Philippines, Brazil, the UK, Nicaragua and Thailand and in March 2020, Mexico will host the event.
Bonsucro Global Week typically attracts several hundred delegates from dozens of countries around the world. Delegates are leaders driving social, environmental and business performance in their organisation and in the wider sugarcane sector.
Is Global Week the same as Bonsucro Week?
Yes – Bonsucro Global Week is the new name for Bonsucro Week! The change is to distinguish it from Bonsucro’s other regular events, Technical Weeks, which focus more on training.
